BPO = "Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization" concluded that there was a violation of broadcasting ethics about the fact that the information program on TV Asahi conveyed the questions prepared by the program staff as if they had arrived from the viewers.

In the TV Asahi information program "Yoko Oshita Wide! Scramble", in the corner to answer questions from viewers, the questions prepared by the program staff of the subsidiary were conveyed as if they had arrived from the viewers.

The BPO's Broadcast Ethics Verification Committee deliberated on this and released a written opinion on the 9th.

According to it, the program staff was making questions from fictitious viewers and rewriting the age and gender of the viewers who posted.

These questions were about half of the questions that were broadcast in about a year and a month until October last year when the problem was discovered.

The BPO pointed out that "there was no mechanism to check with multiple eyes," and said, "Questions are important factual information that shows the interests of viewers and their tendencies, and may be distorted by the creator. "It must not be", and concluded that there was a violation of broadcasting ethics.

TV Asahi said, "This is an unforgivable case that greatly damages the trust in the program, and we deeply apologize to the viewers and all concerned. We would like to take our views seriously and utilize them in future program production." I have commented.
