The exhibition was held to continue to convey the memories and lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake, and about 30 watercolor paintings are on display at the venue, Kakuda City Civic Center.

Of these, the work "Stricken Area Surrounded by Snow" is a huge painting 5.4 meters high and 16.4 meters wide, depicting a ship and driftwood washed ashore, a destroyed building, and the sad appearance of snow falling there. I am.



In addition, 49 children from Kakuda City Nishine Elementary School, which will close at the end of this year, are exhibiting works created with gratitude for the school.
