The problems were noticed in several different services, including the communication program Discord and the music service Spotify.

Via the Downdetector site, thousands of users reported problems with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Cloudflare, platforms that form the basis of much of the most popular Internet services today.

According to Marcus Murray, an IT security expert at Truesec, this is probably not an attack.

But the problem lies deeper than the individual services.

- It seems to be a malfunction of a joint content provider, a so-called content delivery network.

At 9pm on Tuesday, both Discord and Spotify wrote that their problems were solved.
