Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively have launched a major fundraising campaign for Ukrainians fleeing the country in the face of Russian invasion.
They pledged to match donations sent to the UN Refugee Agency to $1 million.
“Within 48 hours, countless Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes to neighboring countries.
They need protection.
When you donate, we'll match it up to $1 million, enabling twice the support,” the
Deadpool
star announced on Instagram last Sunday.
And in a few days, the ceiling was reached!
And the actor considers himself lucky to be able to help Ukrainians who have had to leave the country.
