China News Service, Yinchuan, March 5th: Ningxia Civil Rescue Team: No rescue is the greatest wish

  Chinanews reporter Yang Di

Earthquake relief in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, debris flow relief in Wenxian County, Gansu, fire fighting in Nanhua Mountain in Haiyuan, flood relief in Helan Mountain in Ningxia... At the scene of many emergency rescues, there is a Ningxia civil rescue team.

Recently, the reporter walked into the Yinchuan City Retrograde Rescue Team to understand the story behind it.

Zhang Fuquan is the captain of the Yinchuan Retrograde Rescue Team and one of the founders of the rescue team.

Ten years ago, Zhang Fuquan and his wife ran a bar together, and also set up a motorcycle club, living a smart and comfortable life.

Occasionally, they sponsored 10 students from poor mountainous areas, and they have embarked on the road of public welfare since then.

In 2015, Zhang Fuquan saw a piece of news that "the price of corpses was taken", and in his anger, he decided to form a civilian emergency rescue team.

"After seeing the news at the time, I was very angry with the evil spirit of 'requiring corpses', so I discussed with a few like-minded friends and wanted to set up a non-profit volunteer emergency rescue team."

At the end of 2015, the Yinchuan City Retrograde Rescue Team was established.

In more than 6 years, the rescue team has attracted many members, from 8 people at the beginning of its establishment to 55 regular team members and 191 volunteers.

26-year-old Xu Fei joined the Yinchuan City Retrograde Rescue Team at the end of 2019.

He told reporters that in addition to emergency rescue missions, the rescue team often participates in some social welfare activities.

"After the outbreak of the epidemic in 2020, we also participated in the prevention and control of the epidemic." Wearing rescue clothes and a raincoat outside, after completing the killing work, the rescue team members were often covered in sweat. Xu Fei said with a smile, the team members The most "expensive" is the clothes, "Now I have changed a total of four sets of rescue suits."

The "rescue suit" in Xu Fei's mouth also has an inconspicuous little detail: on the right chest side of the rescue suit, the team members' names, numbers and blood types are written.

"Because the rescuers often go to more dangerous places, and the blood type is written on the clothes, they can skip the steps of checking the blood type, which is convenient for accepting blood transfusion or transfusion to others." Zhang Fuquan said.

As Zhang Fuquan said, during the rescue process, the "retroversaries" of the rescue team often have to "go up the mountain" and "go into the water".

Since its establishment, the Yinchuan Retrograde Rescue Team has actively participated in more than 180 rescue and disaster relief missions such as natural disaster rescue, urban rescue, water salvage, and mountain rescue, saving more than ten lives.

But Zhang Fuquan still had a wish in his heart.

"As an emergency rescue volunteer, I have experienced many life-and-death and heart-breaking scenes in the past six years, so for me, no rescue is the biggest wish." Zhang Fuquan said.
