51-year-old Yang Haixing rushed to the base early in the morning to check the growth of rapeseed, a highland summer vegetable brand.
Yang Haixing took the small rapeseed out of the cultivation slot, checked the development of the roots, and ensured that the automatic water supply and fertilizer supply in the cultivation slot was normal.
In 1992, 21-year-old Yang Haixing returned to his hometown after graduating from Pingliang Agricultural School in Gansu Province, and worked hard for 30 years.
In 2003, he obtained a bachelor's degree from Gansu Agricultural University, and in 2009 he was named a senior agronomist.
Before, farmers encountered problems in the process of vegetable planting. They only needed to give him a call, and Yang Haixing immediately went to the field to provide technical support.
The "vegetable doctor" who shuttles through the fields has won unanimous praise from farmers.
However, Yang Haixing himself found his work deficiencies in the process.

In the process of technical guidance service, I deeply feel that what we (the) farmers lack is not pure (planting) technology, but our service is what farmers lack.
Farmers do not simply need to come to us if they have problems, but farmers solve problems on their own fields, so that farmers have no problems.
[Explanation] In order to think in front of farmers and be in front of farmers, Yang Haixing leads the team to provide technical support for farmers with the new approach of "service first".
From the original "on call" to the initiative to come to the door to prevent vegetable diseases and promote planting technology.

So we took the initiative (together with the farmers).
We come up with new technical standards every year and let farmers plant according to these technical standards, so that farmers can truly plant the quality of their products.
The standard of products has been raised so that the products grown by farmers are favored by the market, and the market demands such things.
So farmers are looking for us less now, and we take the initiative to go down a lot more.
[Explanation] According to Yang Haixing, the "Lanzhou Plateau Summer Vegetables" brand vegetables are high-quality vegetables produced in high-altitude areas by utilizing the climatic characteristics of the northwest plateau, such as cool summer, sufficient sunshine, and large temperature difference between day and night.
At present, it has been on the dining table of most southern cities in China, and has been successfully exported to many overseas countries.
Plateau summer vegetables are served in southern markets from June to November each year.
At present, these "Lanzhou Plateau Summer Vegetables" promoted and planted by him have become the leading industry for rural revitalization of farmers in Gansu Province.

The plateau summer vegetables produced in Yuzhong County are mainly popular in the south, mainly because of their high quality and good taste.
Later, the benefits of our farmers in the process of developing vegetables (planting) are better, and farmers' enthusiasm for planting is also high.

In our Yuzhong County (in) the vegetable industry, the average household income of farmers is between 50,000 and 100,000 yuan.
[Explanation] Yang Haixing was awarded the title of the most beautiful agricultural technician in the new era in Gansu Province in 2021. In the same year, he was rated as an outstanding Communist Party member in Yuzhong County, and the fifth top ten moral models in Yuzhong County.
Talking about the future, Yang Haixing said that he would continue to cooperate with scientific research institutions such as Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Lanzhou University, Gansu Agricultural University and other scientific research institutions to provide better services for farmers.
