The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on March 2, local time, the number of casualties since Russia launched a special military operation against Ukraine.

The announcement stated that in the special military operation, 2,870 Ukrainian soldiers and nationalists were killed and about 3,700 were injured, and it was initially confirmed that 572 Ukrainian personnel were captured; Another 1,597 people were injured.

  The announcement also stated that since Russia launched a special military operation, the Russian army has paralyzed 1,533 Ukrainian military infrastructure, including 54 command posts, 39 air defense missile systems of different types such as S-300, and 52 radar stations.

The Russian army also destroyed 47 ground planes and shot down 13 aircraft; 484 tanks and armored vehicles, 63 multiple rocket launchers, 217 artillery pieces and mortars, 336 military vehicles and 47 drones were destroyed.
