A wife burns her mother-in-law in her sleep with kerosene due to family disputes

A wife burned her mother-in-law alive after she sprayed her with kerosene and set her on fire due to family disputes.

The dispute in the house increased to the point that the daughter-in-law committed this crime against her mother-in-law, as the latter was transferred to the district hospital in a serious condition.

The accident took place in the village of Patti Nandal in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Upon the accident, family members and neighbors were shocked to hear the screams of the mother-in-law, as everyone rushed to save her from the flames.

The victim sustained burns of more than 70%, while the police are investigating the case.

The incident began last Tuesday, after the mother-in-law made accusations that her daughter-in-law described as "dangerous", inciting her son against his wife. The latter was only waiting for her mother-in-law to go to sleep, so she poured kerosene on her and set her on fire while she was sleeping.

The mother-in-law, who suffers from a serious health condition, said that her son married two years ago, but the wife initially refused to come to live in the husband's parents' house, and when she lived with the family she continued to behave inappropriately with her husband.

While the accused wife said that her husband brought her against her will to his family's home, who she accused of preventing her from visiting her mother.

Although the two families agreed to allow the wife to visit her family on the day of the accident, this did not prevent the wife from committing her crime.

The Indian police arrested the accused and continued investigations into the incident, while the mother-in-law received intensive treatment.
