There is a saying in Lanzhou, "Auspicious gourd beef noodles, sheepskin rafts race warships", sheepskin rafts are an ancient water transportation tool with a history of more than 300 years.

In the early years, it was used for transportation on both sides of the Yellow River in Lanzhou, and now it has become a must-see experience project for the Yellow River tourism.

It used to be "blowing cowhide". Today, I will go with Xiaoxin to "blow sheepskin" to try and explore the ancient sheepskin raft making skills.

Lanzhou sheepskin rafts, commonly known as Paizi, are made up of more than a dozen bulging goat skins.

Zhang Debao, who is over seventy years old, is the third-generation inheritor of Lanzhou sheepskin raft making skills. He said that the production of sheepskin rafts generally involves selecting sheep, peeling skin, dehairing, filling with oil and salt, blowing air, tying the mouth, and exposing to the sun. Wait for more than ten procedures.

In 2006, as a key protection object, "Lanzhou Sheepskin Raft" was included in the first batch of Gansu Province intangible cultural heritage list.
