Umm Al Emarat Park will host a series of events to celebrate the month of reading, including book-reading activities, storytelling sessions and concerts, all of which will be held outdoors this month, starting with the famous “garden market”, passing through family activities, and ending with a variety of interactive programs for all members of society.

In an effort to motivate community members to read in order to turn it into a daily habit and enhance its role in shaping the personality of the individual and developing his skills and abilities, and in cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge, reading lovers on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of March can discover a group of books in different languages ​​through the Department of Education and Knowledge’s library Mobile, children can dress up as their favorite book and listen to the book's narration in the park.

Visitors can also participate in writing their own stories and designing book covers by joining a book design workshop.

In addition, a number of book authors will offer reading sessions for children outdoors in the garden.

From 17 to 19 March 2022, Umm Al Emarat Park, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, will host a bouquet of entertainment, interactive and educational activities for children to celebrate the month of reading.

Youngsters can join the story-reading workshops presented by Dr. Fatima Al Mazrouei and writer Hessa Al Muhairi, enjoy the Oud Play show presented by Bait Al Oud, participate in the drawing workshops and win an award by participating in questions and competitions.

The month of March also witnesses the conclusion of the activities of the garden market for the current season, as the activities of the “garden market” are held on Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 11 pm until the end of this month, to provide visitors with a family experience full of fun, food, products and other recreational activities.

The Garden Market offers local organic fruits and vegetables, handicrafts, jewelry and fashion for adults and children alike, so that visitors can support small businesses and enjoy a sustainable shopping experience.
