On the 10th of this month, 77 years after the bombing of Tokyo, an exhibition was started in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, where materials from that time and the relics of the victims of the air raid were collected.

Some people visited Ukraine after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and I was still pondering the local people who were still in the midst of bombing.

Before dawn on March 10, 1945, the bombing of Tokyo by an American bomber caused devastating damage mainly in downtown areas and killed about 100,000 people. There was a lot of damage.

An exhibition of materials sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government about these air raids in Tokyo began on the 3rd at the "Tokyo Metropolitan Theater" in Ikebukuro.

At the venue, in addition to the barrels of burnt bullets and relics such as glasses and tableware of the victims, a diary written by a female student in 1945, when the air raids began to take off in earnest, is also on display.

At the venue, there were young people who visited the exhibition after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and while staring at the exhibition, they were still pondering the Ukrainians who were still suffering from bombing and other damage.

An 80-year-old man who visited the venue said, "I was also hit by my mother's back during the air raid. It was the same in Japan that the general public was sacrificed, but it is the same in Ukraine now. The war should be stopped as soon as possible, and I definitely don't want it to be repeated. "

A 23-year-old woman who visited after the invasion of Ukraine said, "I never thought that a war would occur in this era, so I feel that it is not a thing, and I wonder what peace is. I think that you have to know the past in order to proceed to, so I think it is important to learn the history from these exhibitions as if it actually happened and keep it in your mind. I would like to find out what I can do to improve the situation as soon as possible. "

A first-year college girl who visited with her childhood friend said, "War has been in materials and textbooks until now, but when we see a small child crying in a shelter in Ukraine, we are children. I feel that I have to study to prevent this from happening. Many people should have the attitude to learn from the past, and I decided to start with myself. "

The "Tokyo Air Raid Materials Exhibition" will begin in Kokubunji City and Musashino City from the 4th, in addition to the venue in Ikebukuro.
