'The work has begun and we will continue until we are discharged of this warrant,' says International Criminal Court (ICC) Attorney General of investigation into possible war crimes committed in Ukraine by Russia.

Karim Khan recalls that "the law applies to all" and that the role of the ICC is to "fight against impunity and to ensure independent, apolitical and credible justice", hoping that the procedure will have a deterrent role. 

Without being able to give a conclusion, the lawyer expresses his concern and insists on the fact that "if civilians are targeted, a crime is committed".

In particular, he is "very concerned about the commission of crimes against or affecting children and about the commission of gender-based sexual crimes, whether in street fights or in places of detention".
