According to JR Central, at around 4:40 pm on the 1st, at the construction site of the "Daiichi Chukyo Area Tunnel" of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, concrete pieces sprayed on the cross section to reinforce the excavated part , It fell off in an area of about 2 square meters.
At that time, there were seven workers at the site, and a piece of concrete hit the right shoulder of a male worker in his 40s, causing injuries such as breaking ribs.
JR Tokai is currently suspending tunnel construction in this section, and plans to resume it after investigating the cause of the accident and taking safety measures.
