　　On January 29, 2021, the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court sentenced Guo Wensi to death for the crime of intentional injury, deprivation of political rights for life, and resumed the execution of life imprisonment with the crime of intentional homicide previously committed, deprived of political rights and punished for life, decided. Executed and deprived of political rights for life.

After Guo Wensi appealed, the Beijing Higher People's Court ruled to reject the appeal, upheld the original judgment, and reported it to the Supreme People's Court for approval.

After review, the Supreme People's Court held that the facts identified in the first-instance judgment and the second-instance judgment were clear, the evidence was reliable and sufficient, the conviction was accurate, the sentence was appropriate, and the trial procedure was legal, and approved the criminal ruling against Guo Wensi in accordance with the law.

　　Before the execution of the death sentence, the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court arranged for the criminal Guo Wensi to meet with his close relatives, which fully guaranteed the legal rights of the executed criminal in accordance with the law.

　　Previously, the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court found out that on March 14, 2020, Guo Wensi went shopping at a supermarket in Dongcheng District, Beijing. When checking out at the cashier, he took off the mask he was wearing to his neck and waited behind him. Duan Mou, who was checking out, reminded Guo Wensi to wear a mask correctly, which aroused his dissatisfaction. Guo Wensi walked up to Duan Mou to accuse him, shoved Duan Mou’s left shoulder with his right hand, and caught his foot with his right foot. A man fell on his back, and then bent forward and twisted his neck.

Later, Guo Wensi also injured two supermarket employees who came forward to stop him from leaving.

Duan Moumou died after being sent to the hospital.

Previously, Guo Wensi was sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime of intentional homicide. After 9 times of commutation, he was released on July 24, 2019.
