  Dehua is one of the three major ancient porcelain capitals in China, along with Jingdezhen in Jiangxi and Liling in Hunan.

The Dehua porcelain industry began in the Xia and Shang Dynasties, flourished in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
