Recently, the reporter learned from the Nanjing police that on January 18, 2022, the police from the Jianye Branch of the Nanjing Public Security Bureau arrested Kuang in Sanya, Hainan.
It is understood that on November 3, 2003, a murder occurred in Zhongshan, Guangdong.
After the incident, the two suspects involved were sentenced to death, but one suspect, Kuang, was still at large.
For 18 years, the public security organs have not given up. On January 18, 2022, the police from the Jianye Branch of the Nanjing Public Security Bureau arrested Kuang in Sanya, Hainan.
At the end of 2021, the police of the Jianye Public Security Bureau found during the investigation that the fugitive from a murder case in Zhongshan, Guangdong had been to Nanjing and may be hiding in Guangdong, Hainan and other places.
The Jianye police attached great importance to it and took the initiative to take responsibility. They immediately set up a special task force and dispatched investigators to Zhongshan, Guangdong and Sanya, Hainan to conduct field visits. After investigation, as early as 2004, Kuang had come to Nanjing to defect to his sister, and used a false identity to temporarily live in Nanjing, but soon left Nanjing.

By the time the whereabouts were clarified, Kuang had lived incognito in Sanya, Hainan for many years, and served as the deputy director of a local pitaya base.
In mid-January 2022, the police of the task force came to a pitaya base in Sanya based on the previous situation, and through further investigations, it was found that Mr. Kuang rarely showed up at the base. Generally, when encountering problems, he was handed over to his staff.
Due to the complex terrain of the base, the police stayed in the base for two days to no avail, and the arrest came to a deadlock for a while.
In order to know more about the situation, the police further expanded the scope of investigation and visits, and found that the pitaya base had frequently cooperated with media companies to bring goods online.

After in-depth research and judgment, the task force decided that Lao Zhou would order pitaya from the base, and asked to pick them on the spot on January 18, during which they looked for opportunities to arrest them.
On the morning of January 18, the police and Lao Zhou entered the pitaya base together.
In the meantime, the police deliberately had a dispute with the base security. When the two sides negotiated at the scene, Kuang, as the person in charge, rode a motorcycle to the scene to deal with the matter.
As soon as he approached, the police who were prepared in advance rushed up to capture him.
The police told Kuang, "We are the police in Nanjing." Kuang's first sentence was "this time is really over." Then he said, "I committed a crime in Zhongshan." After interrogation, Kuang admitted that he was 18 years ago. criminal facts.
