Two people in Shanxi were detained and one was fined for fabricating and spreading false information about the epidemic.

  On February 24, Li (male, 44 years old, from Jinzhong City) fabricated the false information that "Xinzhou quarantined men had visited prostitutes in Taiyuan" and posted it in the WeChat group.

This false information spreads on the Internet, causing adverse social impact.

  Li's behavior has constituted fictitious facts to disrupt public order. According to the provisions of Article 25, Paragraph 1, of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China", Li was sentenced to administrative detention for 5 days according to law.

  On February 25, Jia Mou (male, 47 years old, from Taiyuan City) fabricated false information on his own, "Xinzhou confirmed cases concealed their itinerary and visited prostitutes in Taiyuan" and posted it in the WeChat group.

Cui Mou (male, 48 years old, from Taiyuan City) forwarded it without verification.

This false information spreads on the Internet, causing adverse social impact.

  The actions of Jia and Cui constituted fictitious facts and disrupted public order. According to the provisions of Article 25, Paragraph 1 of the Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China, Jia was sentenced to administrative detention for 5 days, and Cui was detained according to the law. A fine of 200 yuan shall be imposed.
