Toyota suspends all factory operations in Japan after cyber attack

Japan's Nikkei daily reported that Toyota Motor Corporation will suspend all domestic factory operations after a supplier was subjected to a cyber attack.

A Toyota spokesperson said it was still checking the status of operations.

The newspaper said Kojima Industries Corporation, one of Toyota's suppliers, was attacked.

A Kojima official could not be reached for comment.

The newspaper reported that the suspension of all domestic factory operations for one day is expected to affect more than ten thousand units, or about five percent of Toyota's monthly production in Japan.
