The two South Korean actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon won the awards for best male and female actor in a series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) this Sunday for their performance in the phenomenon Netflix series,

Squid Game.

This is the first time that non-English-speaking artists have won this distinction.

The performers of Seong Gi-hun (#456) and Kang Sae-byeok thanked Hollywood for “opening the door” to them.

The South Korean black comedy by Hwang Dong-hyuk also won the award for best stunt troupe.
