The situation is complicated for French nationals in Russia.
On Sunday, the Quai d'Orsay recommended that citizens passing through the country "leave it without delay" due to "increasing restrictions on air traffic between Russia and Europe".
But the suspension by Air France of its flights and the closure to Russian planes of the airspace of several European countries seriously complicates the situation.
In a press release published on its website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that a "non-exhaustive list of indirect links allowing you to return to France" can be consulted on the website of the French Embassy in Russia.
“Passengers whose tickets have been canceled due to the restrictions should first contact their airline,” the document states.
A dedicated telephone line has also been set up (+7 495 937 14 91) to respond to the concerns of tourists, visitors, students, professionals on mission present in Russia.
