Shizuoka Prefecture and others announced on the 26th that 1604 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of seven deaths have been announced in the prefecture, including two non-elderly adult patients who were hospitalized in medical institutions.
The cumulative number of infected people in the prefecture is 86,628.
