At 7:16 on February 26, the world's first steel containment lower cylinder of the "Linglong No. 1" at the Changjiang Nuclear Power Base in Hainan was successfully hoisted into place.
It is understood that the overall height of the lower cylinder of the steel containment is about 15 meters, the structural weight is about 450 tons, and the total hoisting weight is about 665 tons. The bottom head, the upper cylinder and the top head together constitute the steel containment of the reactor building, which is an important safety barrier for the reactor and carries the integrity and sealing functions of the reactor building.
