Matthieu Teffaud will be able to realize his dream.
By winning the 11th edition of the "Champion RedCactus Poker" on February 6, this 46-year-old player living in Maisons-Laffite (Yvelines) won an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas as well as a prize of 10,000 euros to participate in next July at the world poker championships, reports 78 Actu.
$8 million up for grabs
Nicknamed “Thieum”, this Mansonian has only 7 years of poker behind him but he defeated the 75,000 people registered in the French championship.
Due to the pandemic, the national final was played online.
This is the 4th time that the recruitment consultant has taken part.
In July, the amateur player will travel to the United States for the first time in his life, for a tournament bringing together an average of 8,000 participants.
The winner will take home $8 million.
