This case is the first case cracked by the Chongqing police in which the production and sales of counterfeit products were produced using automated mechanical processes and using live streaming to bring goods.

  Previously, Chongqing police found in their work that some people from Enshi, Hubei Province, used online platforms to divert traffic and sell high imitation Moutai brand wine to the market, and there were also sales in Qianjiang District, Chongqing.

The anti-counterfeiting team of the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately organized the Qianjiang District Public Security Bureau to conduct further inspections, and quickly identified a criminal production line involving the production and sale of fake alcohol in Hubei and Guizhou.

  Starting from December 29, 2021, the Chongqing police have cooperated with multiple police types to fully close the network in Renhuai, Guizhou, Enshi, Hubei and other places. The criminal gang selling fake wine arrested 24 suspects, destroyed 4 "black dens" of production, storage and sales, and seized more than 800 bottles of fake Maotai brand wine products, more than 3,000 kilograms of base wine to be filled, and counterfeit equipment. 14 sets, 27,000 sets of packaging materials, and a preliminary estimate of the amount involved is 100 million yuan.

Packaging materials, capping machines, packaging machines, automatic labeling machines and other equipment are rented as workshops in the urban-rural junction of Enshi, Hubei, where they are independently blended, filled and packaged to produce high imitation Moutai brand wines in batches.

  The Qianjiang police investigation found that Wei and others paid great attention to the counterfeiting process. In the process of counterfeiting, new equipment was used to automate the labeling process. The anti-counterfeiting chips used were highly simulated and difficult to identify with the naked eye.

In order to expand sales, Wei and others also hired "Internet celebrities" to make short videos to identify genuine and fake Moutai brand wines, and registered multiple accounts on an Internet short video platform to roll and play them, and sell them after accumulating popularity.

According to Wei and others, he has produced and sold more than 20,000 bottles of high imitation Moutai brand wine.
