Britain's Queen Elizabeth II held her weekly audience with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the phone on Wednesday despite being infected with Covid-19.

This was announced by Buckingham Palace in the evening.

As recently as Tuesday, the 95-year-old monarch canceled several virtual audiences, raising concerns among her subjects.

According to the palace, the Queen, who tested positive for the corona virus last Sunday, is suffering from "mild cold-like symptoms".

Elizabeth II should have been vaccinated against Corona at least three times.

Due to her old age and recent health problems, an infection is not considered harmless.

In the past year, she had to cancel several events and was ordered to rest by her doctors.

When the Queen received guests for an audience at Windsor Castle last week, she also hinted at walking difficulties.

Separated from the inner circle of the royal family

In addition to her corona infection, headlines about her grandson Prince Harry are again causing a stir.

He has filed a defamation lawsuit in the UK against the publisher of the Daily Mail tabloid.

The PA news agency reported on Wednesday, citing court documents.

It was initially unclear what the reason for the lawsuit was and against which publication of Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) it was directed.

Harry's wife, Duchess Meghan, won a court victory against ANL last year over the partial publication of a private letter to her father in the Mail on Sunday.

Harry is also involved in legal battles with the publishers of The Sun (News Group Newspapers) and The Mirror (Reach), whom he accuses of using illegal methods such as cell phone tapping to obtain information.

He has another court feud against the UK Home Office: he wants police protection for himself and his family when they are in the UK, and offers to pay for it himself.

But the ministry refuses.

Harry and Meghan have left the inner circle of the royal family.

They now live in Santa Barbara, California with their children Archie (2) and Lilibet (8 months).
