Two women living in a burnt house have been out of contact, and police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming their identities, assuming that they died.

Around 7:30 am on the 23rd, a person living nearby reported to the fire department that a fire had broke out in a residential area in Horozuki, Imabetsu Town, Aomori Prefecture.

Fifteen fire engines were dispatched in the fire, and the fire was extinguished after about four and a half hours, but four houses were burnt and nearby huts were also burned, and two of them were dead. Found.



Since it was not possible to contact the two women who lived in this house after the fire, police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming their identities by assuming that they died.



A man in his 80s who lived nearby said, "When I went outside with a burning smell, I saw the house burning. The wind was strong and the fire was spreading to the nearby houses."



The site is a residential area by the sea about 6 km northeast of JR Imabetsu Station.
