Scott Eastwood turned down 'Suicide Squad' sequel because of his dad

Scott Eastwood has given up on the contract offered to him by Warner on the

franchise .

The reason ?

It was a discussion with his father, actor and director Clint Eastwood, who convinced him.

The younger Eastwood had landed a role in the 2016 film, but was stunned when Warner Bros. offered to sign him for the franchise's next three films, but, he tells

, "they didn't want to. pay me for these upcoming movies and… they didn't have a script for the other movie, so I didn't know what I was getting into if I signed on.

Scott Eastwood preferred to take an authorized opinion and it was naturally to his father that he turned.

Even if they are not used to talking to each other regularly, when it comes to "business", he only trusts him.

"I said, 'They don't want to pay me,'" reports the 35-year-old comedian, and his father replied with a sentence that left him perplexed.

“If you feel like they really need you and it's a good role, then do it.
