A man marries 18 women to seize their money and arrest him just before the 19th and 20th victims!
Indian police have arrested a man named Bipu Prakash Swain, who has married 18 women from across the country, days before his next two weddings.
The website of the "Russia Today" channel said that the 67-year-old man searched marriage sites impersonating a 51-year-old doctor, claiming that he receives a large salary, and used false identity cards to defraud his victims.
Indian police officer Sanjeev Satpathi explained that the man "did it primarily in order to get women's money and in exchange for some sexual pleasure," noting that "Swain was arrested in recent days after months of tracking him, and they discovered his multiple identities, bank accounts and plans for two wedding parties in February and March.
He added: "The accused was very persuasive, targeting only successful single, widowed or divorced women in their late forties. After a few days of happiness and contentment with marriage, he used to make excuses to borrow money or jewelry from his new wives, then move on to his next target." .
Investigators believe Swain has been married more than 18 times and are now reviewing his mobile phone records where he saved his wives' contacts.
