Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City announced on the 21st that it was confirmed that 218 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Yamaguchi Prefecture to 19,263.
Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City also announced that two men in their 70s and 80s died on the 20th.
In Yamaguchi Prefecture, 116 people died after being infected with the new coronavirus.
