Seven years after having disappeared from the TF1 antenna, the culinary competition program "Masterchef" returns to television.

The program remains produced by Endemol, and viewers will find a former co-presenter of "Top Chef".

But "Masterchef" will no longer be broadcast on TF1, nor on a channel of this TV group.

To your pots!

The

Masterchef

show will resume service, but on another channel.

The cooking competition reserved for amateurs ended on TF1 in 2015, after five years of broadcasting.

Seven years later, it is on France 2 that the program returns to television.

This new version of the show will be presented by Agathe Lecaron, who will succeed Sandrine Quétier in this position.

This is not her first cooking show for the Kindergarten host: she had already co-hosted

Top Chef

in 2011 with Stéphane Rotenberg.

A broadcast scheduled for the end of 2022

According to information from our colleagues from the newspaper

Le Parisien

, the show will always work in the same way as its first French version.

But France 2 would provide several "surprises" concerning the development of the tests, the choice of candidates and the composition of the jury, without it being known which ones yet.

Three weeks of filming have already been set between the end of April and the beginning of May and

Masterchef will

 remain produced by Endemol.

The program should arrive on the antenna of France 2, with eight bonuses, from the next school year.
