The death of a man "of joy" after the abolition of the death sentence against him!

An Iranian man convicted of murder died "out of joy" after hearing the news of his pardon from his victim's parents, the Iranian government newspaper Hamshahri reported yesterday.

The newspaper said, "A man named Akbar from the city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran committed a murder, and for 18 years he has been fighting the nightmare of the gallows all this time."

And she added, "Akbar, 55, when he heard that the victim's parents had forgiven him, had a stroke because of his joy, and lost his life an hour after he was taken to the hospital, ending his life."

The newspaper quoted sources familiar with the case that Akbar spent all these years in fear of being executed for committing the murder at the age of 37, adding that after efforts by officials of the Dispute and Problem Resolution Council in Bandar Abbas, they were able to convince the victim’s family And obtain the consent of the greater pardon.
