Sharjah concludes the 11th edition of the Festival of Lights

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority concluded the activities of the Sharjah Light Festival 2022, which was organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in its 11th edition under the slogan “Echoes from the Future”, which lasted from 9 to 9 February 20th.

The festival's performances were decorated in various parts of the Emirate of Sharjah, highlighting the ancient Islamic heritage that characterizes the buildings and landmarks of the emirate, through the illustrated stories presented by the festival's performances, which celebrated the progress of the Emirate of Sharjah and presented an image of its present and a view of its future.

Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority Khalid Jassim Al Midfa confirmed that the Sharjah Lights Festival 2022 has achieved great success in its 11th session, establishing the position of the Emirate of Sharjah on the international tourism map as a leading destination in the field of organizing major international events, attracting tourists and families from all over the world.

As every year, the festival attracted thousands of families and visitors to follow its special shows and events in various parts of the emirate, and effectively contributed to the revitalization of its tourism sector, by highlighting the aesthetics and splendor of the architecture of the emirate's landmarks.

Over the course of the festival, the event's performances dazzled visitors in several locations in the Emirate of Sharjah, including: the University City Hall, Al Majaz Waterfront, the Noble Qur’an Complex, in addition to the Sharjah Mosque, Al Noor Mosque, and the Hamriyah Municipality Building.

In the city of Kalba, the festival performances were held in the government departments building, the Human Resources Department building, the Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Mosque in Dibba Al Hisn, and the Rafisa Dam in the city of Khor Fakkan.

In addition to the food carts area opposite the University City Hall, in which more than 30 participants from the owners of national small and medium enterprises in the field of food, beverages, sweets, and others participated.
