A breakdown impacted the electricity network in the Pyrénées-Orientales on Saturday February 19.

In total, 2,000 homes were temporarily deprived of electricity, reports L'Indépendant.

In detail, nearly 1,000 homes were affected in Corneilla-la-Rivière, 500 in Perpignan, 300 in Soler and 160 in Pézilla-la-Rivière.

Faults on the underground high-voltage network

Other municipalities were also affected in the morning, but the intervention of Enedis made it possible to restore the situation around 3:30 p.m., specify our colleagues.

No customer was to be without power on Saturday evening, according to the company.

In the event of a last-minute incident, the latter had provided for the use of generators.

According to Enedis, this outage is due to “several faults on the underground high voltage network”.

The agents of the electricity manager in France settled the breakdown.
