2022 is the Year of the Tiger in the lunar calendar, and two "tiger policemen" at the Maji Border Police Station in Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province usher in the year of their life - Yang Yanbin, the deputy director, and Wang Ruocheng, a community policeman, who are exactly 12 years apart.

Maji Township, where the Maji Border Police Station is located, is located at the northernmost end of Fugong County, Nujiang Prefecture, adjacent to Myanmar in the west, and shoulders the important mission of border epidemic prevention and control.

The two "tiger policemen" chose to stick to the front line of the China-Myanmar border. Although they were absent from the reunion with their families, they never missed the responsibility and responsibility of "the people's police for the people".

The Growth of "Little Tiger Police"

Wang Ruocheng is a "little tiger police officer" born in 1998 and enlisted in the army in 2016.

At first, he worked as a cook at the Maji Border Police Station. When he changed his career in 2018, Wang Ruocheng decided to become an immigration policeman after careful consideration and continue to stay.

After that, Wang Ruocheng was faced with the test of how to complete the community work well, so he took the initiative to apply to the Dabian police office, "this place is closer to the people".

In order to learn more about the area in charge, Wang Ruocheng often leaves early and returns late, leading the auxiliary police to visit the homes of each villager in each village group.

Sometimes the journey is long, they bring their own dry food, spend the night at the villagers' homes, and continue to visit the next morning.

Wang Ruocheng's hard work made the villagers gradually recognize him. On the way to the countryside, the villagers would greet him when they saw Wang Ruocheng and warmly invited him to be a guest at home.

With the orderly development of the work, Wang Ruocheng also showed the ability to be a generalist. Not only did he perform well in community visits, but he was also handy in the internal work of the community.

During the temporary replacement of the internal police in the community, he quickly entered the role, collected and reported the daily work materials, and gradually found out the situation of the seven administrative villages in the area, and his work became more and more proficient.

Long-term home visits have changed Wang Ruocheng's physical state - the hairline has moved back, and symptoms such as lumbar disc herniation have also appeared.

But he didn't take these to heart, "there is nothing more satisfying than being able to do more for the people."
