The shipping of sweet pea, which is in high demand at the time of graduation, is being actively carried out in Mihama Town, Mie Prefecture.

Sweet pea is a flower native to Sicily, Italy, and since the flower language includes the word "monde", demand will increase from now on when many graduation ceremonies are held.

Approximately 20,000 sweet pea plants are cultivated in the agricultural house in Atawa, Mihama-cho, and flowers of 17 colors such as white, purple, and pink are in bloom.

In the house, employees actively carried out shipping work such as cutting sweet pea with a height of 1 meter or more from the middle of the stem with scissors, separating it by color, and packing it in a box.

Sumiko Furukawa, who is cultivating, said, "I want to do my best to ship a lot, so I hope everyone will enjoy seeing the flowers as much as possible."

The shipping of sweet pea will continue until mid-April, and about 300,000 will be shipped to the markets in Aichi and Gifu prefectures.
