On February 19, the reporter learned from a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Hohhot that from 14:00 on February 18, 2022 to 14:00 on February 19, Hohhot reported 49 new confirmed cases of local new crown pneumonia.
In this round of epidemic, Hohhot City has reported a total of 86 confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia, and most of the confirmed cases were found in the nucleic acid test of isolation control personnel.
At present, the confirmed cases are all under isolation and treatment at the Fourth Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. After consultation with experts, 20 cases are of common type, 64 cases are mild, and 2 are severe.
At present, the Hohhot Center for Disease Control and Prevention has completed the virus gene sequencing of the first three confirmed cases in this round of epidemics. The sequencing results were reported to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention for comparison. The comparison results showed that the new coronavirus gene belongs to Delta. For the variant strain (AY.122 evolutionary branch), no sequence with high homology was found in the domestic native case and imported case database.
The epidemiology of subsequent confirmed cases and the traceability of the epidemic are still in progress.
Through the analysis of the flow survey, the current round of epidemic situation in Hohhot was found by the active screening of a garbage transfer station in Xincheng District. After in-depth epidemiological investigation, it was preliminarily judged that Liang Moumou and Dong Moumou went to Wuchuan County and Baotou City in Hohhot City. The imported epidemic caused by visiting relatives in Damao Banner caused the spread of the epidemic through two wedding banquets (23 tables and 165 people in total) held in a hotel in Xincheng District on February 8.
Due to the long incubation period of the virus and the frequent flow of people during the Spring Festival, multiple outbreaks occurred in Wuchuan County, Tuzuo Banner, Helinger County and the urban area.
The trajectory of the spread of the epidemic is generally clear.
The Hohhot Municipal Government calls on the general public not to panic, reduce gatherings, do personal protection, and actively cooperate with the implementation of prevention and control measures.
Hohhot has started the second round of nucleic acid testing in key areas at 15:00 on the 19th.
