The French identify it with a major moment in their contemporary collective history.

For Algerians, this conflict is a source of pride and cement of identity.

"At war(s) for Algeria" connects the lives of all the witnesses: Algerian civilians, French from Algeria, conscripts from the contingent, French recruits and career soldiers, independence activists from the FLN, the MNA, the 'ALN, members of the OAS, auxiliaries of the French army, refractory, etc., and confronts their perceptions of the events and their emotions.

A series that historian and co-screenwriter Raphaëlle Branche tells us about.
