The Ganquan Road Police Station of the Putuo Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau recently received reports from residents in the area that a valuable bicycle parked near a hotel at the Zhenguang intersection of Taopu Road was stolen.
Through investigation, the police determined that the man, Jiang, was suspected of committing a major crime. At about 15:00 on the day of the report, the police arrested him and seized the stolen bicycle and 5 other stolen bicycles of the reporter.
In the face of the police's inquiries, Jiang argued that the bicycles he possessed belonged to no-owners, and he should better allocate resources through donations.
At present, the criminal suspect Jiang has been detained by Putuo police according to law on suspicion of theft, and the case is under further investigation.
