It is unlikely that the current leadership of the Popular Party will return from the shame it is experiencing.

It does not come back from a blackmail attempt without evidence that liquidates the presumption of innocence

of a regional president elected en masse by the citizens on whom no judicial stain weighs.

It does not come back from the irrational attack on the best asset of your acronym for a mixture of pathological insecurity, political mediocrity and absurd jealousy.

It does not come back from the clandestine alliance with e

l political and media adversary to complete a Sicilian pincer executed not for the sake of democratic hygiene but of partisan blackmail.

but above all

it does not turn from the frontal betrayal of your voters

.

No one has come back from their own suicide.

Nobody outside the petty keys of organic power understands the self-destructive drift chosen by the leadership of the PP, which since it arrived in Genoa has collided with each and every one of the territorial baronies, not only with Madrid.

Today we know that this address gave credence without evidence to a rumor leaked by Moncloa against the brother of Isabel Díaz Ayuso according to which he would have charged a large commission for mediating the purchase of vital medical supplies in the first phase of the pandemic.

Díaz Ayuso's brother has been a commercial agent in the health sector for decades, and

nor to date is there any evidence of any illegality in his performance nor has the PP been able to gather it after months of embarrassing search

through a detective agency, which was entrusted with the criminal task of collecting them without a court order in Ayuso's family and personal environment.

The popular dome was not moved by that hypocritical regenerative itch that it now proclaims and that the left buys for pure interest, but the dark desire to find ammunition with which to blackmail whoever they felt threatened their power.

He has been guided by suitably gigantic suspicions manipulated by Ayuso's enemies, who are equally active in the PSOE and the PP.

PP voters today know that the party they voted for or intended to vote for is led by

an unfortunate conjunction of unscrupulous fools

who has decided to put his small personal interests before the construction of a true alternative government.

Voter demonstrations are even called at the gate of Genoa to support Ayuso against Casado.

Things should never have gotten to this point, and

the clumsy rudeness of the general secretary

-who has opened a file on the Madrid president, to whose electoral success Casado owes the only good news of his record- is the main person responsible for the schism.

At this time García Egea still has not understood that in a democracy

political capital is given by the people with their votes, not by the bureaucrat with his office intrigues.

The one who has understood it is Martínez Almeida, who between the status of mayor of Madrid and that of party spokesman has clearly opted for the former, handing over the head of Ángel Carromero, designated as a Genoa liaison to orchestrate botched espionage maneuvers against Ayuso .

The PP is currently at a true existential crossroads.

The Madrid elections proved the personal triumph of Ayuso, who called them, while the elections in Castilla y León have denied Casado's willful triumphant march.

It cannot be hidden from anyone since the national leadership of the PP, with Teodoro García Egea at the head, is failing.

His project is not exciting, perhaps because after so much lurch it is unknowable, while Vox has not stopped growing ... except in Madrid.

The style of government of a party is not trivial: one will govern Spain tomorrow as his party governs today.

Ayuso has won by submitting his management to the examination of the citizens.

His institutional statement yesterday, shot through with indignation with few precedents in Spanish politics, directly summoned the party's president to explain why he gave rise to a campaign of personal destruction;

but Casado hid behind García Egea.

The absence of leadership is not only manifested in such gestures but also in

the immaturity of a

modus operandi

who tries to impose discipline with a hammer.

The fruit of this strategy is being the disintegration of the PP: each region goes its own way, starting with Mañueco.

And the drift will get worse and worse, if nobody fixes it, until the final disaster.
