Recently, a news investigation by "Ban Yue Tan" exposed the chaos of grassroots network evaluation.

The reporter's investigation in a certain part of the western region found that while various votes made grass-roots cadres miserable, they also led to chaos such as buying tickets with public funds and swiping votes.

Some grass-roots cadres bluntly said that their superiors used the number of app download indicators and the number of votes to evaluate township work, which made township cadres overwhelmed.

What is even more bizarre is that in the voting for the most secure township in the second quarter of 2021, a local township with a registered population of only more than 20,000 people turned out more than 40,000 votes.

There are also two townships with a registered population of 20,000 to 30,000 people, but they cast 58,000 votes and more than 70,000 votes respectively.

The original intention of the grassroots network evaluation is to respect public opinion and make a more objective and fair evaluation of grassroots work, but judging from the media reports, it is obvious that some places have misunderstood the scriptures.

With a population of 20,000 to 30,000, 70,000 votes were cast. Even if everyone "raised their hands in favor", there would not be enough hands to vote.

Behind the abnormal online evaluation, there is unscrupulous fraud.

It is reported that individual townships even used public funds to buy tickets.

Some grass-roots cadres have reported that in the past, a ticket was one or two yuan, but later it rose to seven yuan, and now the more expensive one has risen to 2 yuan per ticket.

Based on this calculation, the town with a population of 20,000 to 30,000 votes cast 70,000 votes, regardless of the waste of manpower, the cost of brushing votes alone may be as high as tens of thousands of yuan.

The government is not an enterprise, and every penny in public funds belongs to taxpayers.

Buying tickets with public funds and complimenting yourself is undoubtedly an irresponsible splurge and waste.

For similar chaos, people can't help but ask, who approved the "spending competition" in some places?

What will happen in the end?

If the "publicity expenditure" is included in the name of the so-called "expansion of mass awareness and participation", then this will only be counterproductive.

Buying a large number of "navy troops" pretending to be "the masses" to vote, so that "the masses" are "not enough", such "operations" will inevitably arouse the resentment of the masses and have a negative impact on the credibility of the local government.

If the money for buying tickets is included in "other expenses", it is a new trick that is cleverly listed and wastes public money.

In essence, it is also a form of corruption, and its social impact is worse than that of corruption in general.

The more the better, the better the people will naturally raise their hands to welcome them with financial money.

And using public funds to buy tickets, decorate oneself with fake political achievements, and deceive the superior and the inferior, should never be allowed.

In recent years, from the central to the local level, the efforts to correct the "four winds" at all levels have been increasing.

Against this background, the appearance of such absurd phenomena in the online rating is particularly dazzling.

However, corresponding to it, perhaps the management of online appraisal activities is weak, so that there are many chaos.

This issue should be taken seriously.

Online voting is a fast, convenient and relatively low-cost public opinion collection channel, and there is no problem in itself.

Use it properly, but it doesn't hurt to comment.

However, the chaos of public funds brushing votes must be regulated from the root.

In this regard, on the one hand, it is necessary to strengthen corporate self-discipline by improving industry standards; on the other hand, relevant departments should establish rules and regulations, strengthen supervision, and urge grass-roots governments to legally and compliantly use the online voting system to launch online appraisal activities.

At the same time, illegal acts such as online ticket swiping should be punished according to law, and people should be held accountable.

The chaotic voting situation of "population of 20,000 to 30,000, 70,000 votes cast" reminds relevant departments: it is time to put a heavy punch on the evaluation of similar deformed networks!
