A strange era has come.

Russian diplomats and officials need more and more restraint.

You look at this - and already feel sorry for the poor fellow.

You have to behave with the current politicians of the West, like a kind of psychiatrist doctor with patients who have a difficult case.

Realize that you are right, that you are an adult, and in front of you are not quite adequate, confused people, but at the same time continue to talk on an equal footing, without breaking down.

And for those every day, then a new misfortune.

Not diarrhea, so scrofula.

Of the latter - the invasion of Ukraine, which predictably did not happen.

And what did we say?

It was the moment of exposure of the fake attack that Mikhail Popov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, preferred to speak out on a wide range of issues relevant to his department.

Obviously, in the hope that the psychosis will subside a little and the good Russian word will fall on suitable soil.

Will they suddenly hear?

Not only politicians, but ordinary people all over the world.

For the fateful time is approaching when Moscow's security concerns, articulated in specific proposals, must finally be recognized and removed by signed documents.

Otherwise, the world will fall into chaos.

The latter option seems more likely so far.

“A carefully planned complex, multifaceted information operation within the framework of a hybrid war is being carried out against Russia in connection with Ukraine,” Eduard Popov recorded, comparing the evidence of the West with the most famous symbol of lies – the vial of US Secretary of State Colin Powell, which he shook at the UN Security Council, seeking authorization for the operation. against Iraq.

Then the Americans still bothered to buy test tubes at the nearest pharmacy.

Now they simply refer to the data of "Estonian intelligence".

The escalation of militaristic hysteria is taking place in the context of an oversaturation of Ukraine with various types of weapons supplied to it by NATO countries since 2014 and especially vigorously lately.

Everyone remembers Havana-sized military transports with USA on board and stacks of khaki hardware.

This can create the illusion of invincibility among the same national battalions stationed near the LPR and DPR, the representative of the Security Council pointed out.

Any provocation on the part of Bandera - and the conflict will go into a hot phase.

Moscow will have to help ...

The line of contact in the Donbass is now perhaps the most dangerous place on earth.

By striking a spark there, the West is simultaneously building a long-term system of pressure on Russia.

Our military is recording the flights of NATO reconnaissance aircraft and strategic bombers near the Russian borders that have become much more frequent.

They encroach on our interests in the Arctic, trying to get into the Northern Sea Route zone without soap.

They threaten us and allied China in the Asia-Pacific region.

And in general, they dominate the planet, using up to 900 military facilities (USA) in 58 countries of the world to intimidate the recalcitrant.

The need to respond to all these challenges inflicts certain material damage on Russia, Popov admits.

But at the same time, he invites Western leaders to realize that Russia is not their enemy: “It is better to be friends and trade with Russia, but this should be honest, equal and with mutual respect.”

And then again patiently expresses the hope that "reason and common sense will prevail over the global ambitions and overconfidence of our Western opponents."

A NATO summit will take place in the summer, where there will be a chance to adjust the policy of the alliance, they believe in Moscow.

To squeeze everything out of the situation to the last, to use any, the most overwhelming, chance - such is the duty of a statesman.

Interested observers, the public is easier.

Without suffering from the burden of responsibility, we can afford to call a spade a spade.

Alas, it seems that Russian hopes for a constructive political line of the West are not destined to come true.

And not because there is someone very bad.

They simply operate in their own logic, developed over the centuries and confirmed by the events of the 20th century, the beneficiary of which was the United States.

They want the subjugation of Russia and will not agree to anything less.

It's clear as daylight.

"Do the Russians want wars?"

- is sung in a famous song - and the obvious conclusion is made that no, they don’t want to, because they just went through hell.

The adversary has a different view of the problem.

It is not so obvious to him that peace is better than war.

To those brought up in a rational trading culture, there are two states in which one can profit: peace or war.

And at any moment in time, one or the other option can be preferred, depending on the circumstances.

This is a matter of profit, not morality or fear.

For the same rational reason, the West is constantly on the lookout for an enemy.

The enemy is not about emotions.

At least for politicians - those who make decisions.

The enemy is a goal that allows you to consolidate your own, to force them to act actively.

And in this sense, the enemy is a value.

Without it, at least it is boring, and at the maximum, full development is impossible.

We need an incentive, a competitor.

If the enemy suddenly does not exist, it must be urgently found.

Better yet, make your own.

More reliable.

Therefore, Russia, and therefore China.

And we all offer the old-fashioned "friends".

In Russia, they do not understand the West very well, endowing it with their own logic.

And there, in fact, cannibals rule.

In this reality, it makes sense to appeal to the enemy, to offer him to change his mind, understand his happiness and finally reconcile, only in order to stretch out time, prepare, strengthen - and only then meet aggression, if it is inevitable, fully armed.

Then, maybe it will pass.

The West, feeling the strength, will recoil, go to the world, as happened in 1945, when Stalin's tanks ironed Europe and were ready to roll to the English Channel.

If you want peace, prepare for war.

It is worth remembering the lessons of the great ones.

After all, we still live in the Yalta world.

The mustachioed Georgian did his best, protected the country and people for 70 years ahead.

His recipe for big politics turned out to be successful.
