On the 16th, Aomori Prefecture requested the government to extend the "priority measures such as prevention of spread" for the new coronavirus countermeasures, which is due on the 20th of this month.

The restaurants in Hirosaki City, which are the target areas of the "Priority Measures," are worried that sales will decrease further.

Aomori Prefecture has requested that more than 2,000 restaurants in Hirosaki City shorten their business hours in line with the "Priority Measures to Prevent Spread", and the bars in Kajimachi in the city are usually in the afternoon. After shortening the business hours from 6:00 to 0:00 the next day to 8:00 pm, we stop eating and drinking at the store and only take out food.

We are trying to attract customers by changing the menu every week, but after the priority measures are applied, the number of customers is about 5 per day, and the sales are compared to before the infection of the new corona spread. It means that it is about one-third depressed.

Bar owner Kazuaki Demachi says that if priority measures are extended and requests for shorter business hours continue, sales may fall further and the future is uncertain.

Mr. Demachi said, "I'm worried about the decrease in sales and the fact that I can't see the faces of customers, but I have no choice but to think about what I can do in the future."
