On the night of the 11th of this month, the south wing of the Arakawa factory of "Sanko Confectionery" in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture was completely burned down, and four females in their 60s and 70s died as part-time employees who were in charge of cleaning work. Police searched the head office and Arakawa factory in Kita-ku, Niigata City on the 15th.

According to the company, all factories, including this one, conduct evacuation drills about twice a year, but the drills are usually conducted during the daytime, and some of the night shift part-time employees were not able to participate. about it.



The four female employees who died did not participate in the evacuation drill last September.
