Egypt..Head of Forensic Medicine: There is no truth to what is rumored about Alaa Wali Al-Din: All bodies are decomposing

The former head of the Egyptian Forensic Medicine Authority, Dr. Ayman Fouda, denied the incorrectness of the news circulated that the body of the artist, Alaa Wali Al-Din, is still the same and has not decomposed.

In statements to local media, Fouda said: "All corpses are decomposing and it is not true to talk about the lack of decomposition of a corpse from another, indicating that decomposition occurs for any corpse after death for a period ranging between 36 and 72 hours, while the total decomposition of the corpse occurs after 6 months, as The corpse disappears, and only the bone appears.”

The former chief forensic physician identified two cases in which decomposition does not occur. The first is when the body is buried in the desert, stipulating that the temperature in that desert reaches 60 degrees Celsius, pointing out that this degree is “not suitable for the decomposition of beneficial bacteria.”

As for the second case, according to Fouda, “if the body is immersed in water, whether in the sea or the Nile, where the water interacts with the fats in the body, making it more like soap and difficult to decompose.”

He pointed out that the permits to remove the bodies and move them from their location are the responsibility of the Ministry of Interior, not Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, as he put it.

In response to those who linked the lack of decomposition of the body of the artist Alaa Wali al-Din to religion, he said: "The lack of decomposition of corpses has nothing to do with religion, but with science," stressing that the bodies of the Pharaohs remain because they are scientifically mummified.

The brother of the artist, Alaa Wali Al-Din, had caused an uproar when he revealed, on the 19th anniversary of his death, that his body is still the same and has not decomposed so far.
