In Tokyo, the number of emergency transports of patients infected with the new coronavirus has increased rapidly since entering this year, and cases where no vacant beds were found and it took more than 3 hours to transport were combined in one week until the 13th. There are 199 cases.

According to the Tokyo Fire Department, the number of emergency transports for patients who have been confirmed to be infected and are being treated at home, etc., totaled 706 in the week up to the 13th, an increase of 3% from the previous week.



Under these circumstances, there are increasing cases where no vacant beds can be found and it takes time to transport, and the total number of cases for 3 hours or more has reached 199.



Of these, 74 took more than 5 hours.



In addition, there were 419 cases in which emergency transportation was requested but not carried due to the judgment of the health center.



The number of emergency transports is currently increasing to nearly 90% of the peak of the 5th wave, so the Tokyo Fire Department will continue to cooperate with related organizations.
