China News Service, Beijing, February 14th. The Winter Olympics Symphony Suite "Meeting in Ice and Snow" was staged at the Shunyi Grand Theater in Beijing on the evening of the 12th.
This is a 2020 funding project of the Beijing Culture and Art Fund. The suite is co-created by the composers "Victory Brothers" (Zheng Junsheng, Zheng Junli).
The work is based on the "Winter Olympics", which reflects the organic integration of music and the Olympic spirit, and shows the spirit of the Winter Olympics and the spirit of Beijing.
The concert was performed affectionately by more than 80 performers from the China National Opera and Dance Theater.

The suite consists of five parts. The prelude "Dream of Ice and Snow" uses freehand techniques to describe the incomparably dreamy and colorful world in the snow and ice season. The music focuses on the changes of colors; the first movement "Flying Snow and Ice" poetically depicts the sports of the Winter Olympics. The project, connecting it with dance vocabulary, is more active; the second movement "Passion Dream" is full of bright colors and passion, expressing a grand dream; the third movement "Meeting in Ice and Snow" is the core movement, and Beijing uses the master's Zi welcomes guests and friends from all over the world. The music has both "Chinese flavor", "Beijing rhyme" and "international style"; the finale "One World" is a summary of the symphonic suite, which reflects the community of shared future for mankind and the spirit of peace and love.

Some audience members said that the music is very immersive, and the scene of intense speed skating immediately surfaced in front of their eyes when they heard the melody of the fast music with strong melody.
It is reported that the concert of the Beijing Winter Olympics Symphony Suite "Meeting in Ice and Snow" will also be performed in Beijing's National Grand Theater Taihu Theater, Zhongshan Concert Hall and other places.
