Social networking activists and followers called the Egyptian woman “The Mint Lady” after the cameras spotted her selling mint on one of the sidewalks, and a large number of tweeters were keen to send messages of support to her in her crisis that she revealed in the video.

Manar, known as "The Mint Lady", did not imagine that a video clip of her would change her life from a saleswoman on a sidewalk to a mother that everyone is looking for, because of her great courage in protecting her son and taking care of his expenses.

The mint lady said that her husband left her during her pregnancy to find herself responsible for her infant child alone, pointing out that the street is the only refuge to provide a box of artificial milk to feed her son by selling mint.

She pointed out, "I did not find help from the parents," explaining that she had not been able to file a divorce lawsuit against her husband so far due to the costs of litigation, and wished to provide a job opportunity for her instead of sitting in the street in addition to a house that brings her together with her infant child.

Manar said in her first appearance: "The reason for my disagreement with my husband was that he was hitting me, so when he hit me while I was pregnant, I didn't want him again and he cursed me."

She wanders the streets of the city to sell mint, carrying her baby who is trying to provide food after his father left her at the beginning of her pregnancy..

I was waiting for him to come and ask even about his son, and I was hoping that he would live with him.”
