The funny investigation of “The Afterparty” on Apple TV+

So we were all in front

of The Woman Who Lived Opposite the Girl in the Window

on Netflix, the real and good parody of

whodunit

was next, on AppleTV+.

But it's not too late.

Launched with three episodes at once on January 28, the series

The Afterparty

continues to broadcast at the rate of one episode per week, until March 4.

The afterparty of the title is that of a reunion of former high school students, which ends with the murder of the one who has become a popstar, played by Dave Franco.

Each suspect is then invited to tell the evening from his point of view, and makes it a kind of cinema: romantic comedy, action film,

teen movie

, thriller...

With Chris Miller (the films

21 Jump Street

and

The Great Lego Adventure

) at the helm, the result is always exciting, if not really hilarious, well helped by its cast, bringing together the best of supporting roles in American comedy: Ike Barinholtz (

The Mindy Project

), Ben Schwartz (

Parks and Recreation

), Lana Glazer (Broad City), Sam Richardson (

Veep

)…

"Les Enfants du paradis", a classic of classics, on Netflix

Don't know what to binge on Netflix anymore?

The 20 Minutes

replays

are there for that, and how about a little series in two episodes, perfect for a Sunday evening?

Well, ok, it was a trap, but a beautiful trap, since a classic of the classics of French cinema has just arrived on Netflix:

Les Enfants du paradis

, directed by Marcel Carnet.

One of its specificities is to have been filmed during the Second World War, under the Occupation.

Despite all the difficulties encountered, the film is a miracle of cinema, a masterpiece of romanticism, about three theater men who fall in love with the same woman (Arletty!) in 19th century Paris.
