A dozen homes and several businesses in Livry-Gargan (Seine-Saint-Denis) have been deprived of an Internet connection since the beginning of January, reports Actu Seine-Saint-Denis.

A resident thus claimed to have spent 90 euros on connection supplements since the cut occurred on January 3, the man needing the Internet to be able to telecommute.

Postponed repairs

Two days after the start of the incident, a Free technician intervened on site and found that a cable from the PMZ cabinet that connects all the connections in the housing estate had been cut.

The man would then have had no further news from his operator, which Free denies.

In addition, as the company explained to our colleagues, the observations made have invited the operator Orange, which manages this PMZ cabinet, to take charge of restoring services.

Initially scheduled for January 24, the repair work was finally carried out on February 8, a complaint for vandalism having had to be filed before that by Orange.

Several of the connections have therefore been restored, with access to the telephone however still unstable.
