• This Friday, Cédric Jubillar will again be before the investigating judges to address the confessions he allegedly made to a fellow prisoner at the place where he allegedly buried his wife.

  • For three weeks, the site indicated was searched by the gendarmes and soldiers, without giving anything.

A necessity to "return the body of Delphine Jubillar to her family" indicates the prosecutor of the Republic of Toulouse, Samuel Vuelta-Simon.

  • At the same time, the results of the long-awaited analyzes of the quilt with which Delphine Jubillar slept did not show the presence of blood.

We already knew that the duvet that Delphine Jubillar used to sleep on the sofa was not in the washing machine when the gendarmes landed at the couple's home on December 16, 2020, shortly before 5 a.m., in Cagnac- les-Mines (Tarn).

The analyzes carried out on the quilt at the request of the investigation services have just shown that it also did not contain traces of blood belonging to the disappeared.

by Emmanuelle Franck, one of Cédric Jubillar's lawyers, in detention since June 18 for the murder of his wife.

These results took more than a year to be added to the investigation file, to the point that the husband's defenders ended up wondering if she had not been lost.

It must be said that this duvet was part of the elements against the plasterer.

“When the gendarmes arrive, they find Mr. Jubillar busy triggering a washing machine in which is the duvet of the bed on which Mrs. Jubillar slept.

An incongruous context is not the first thing that comes to mind, ”said Dominique Alzéari, then public prosecutor of Toulouse, in June 2021.

A photo has since established that she was indeed on the sofa bed in the living room where the mother of the family slept the day after her disappearance.

And no trace of blood was therefore found there by the scientific analysis laboratory.

But the duvet had in the meantime been put in the washing machine and the defense did not expect a huge find.

New interrogation of the husband on Friday

This element is no longer conclusive, the investigators have focused in recent weeks on the statements of a fellow prisoner of Cédric Jubillar, who will be at the heart of the new interrogation to which the plasterer will be subjected this Friday.

The investigating judges want to determine if what a certain “Marco” said to the investigators of the Toulouse research section is founded.

According to this man, he would have taken the confessions of suspect number 1 at the Seysses remand center.

Delphine's husband would have told him that he killed his wife before burying her not far from a farmhouse that has since burned down.

And his new companion, Séverine, would have been aware.

This is what led last December to the police custody of the forties.

And the launch of a vast campaign of excavations in the sector indicated at the beginning of the year.

These did not make it possible to find the body of Delphine Jubillar.

“Nothing that this fellow prisoner said turned out to be true, neither about Séverine, nor about the body that would have ended up there.

They deployed significant means because they took at face value what this fellow prisoner was saying.

And they have nothing at all, ”said Emmanuelle Franck.

As of next Monday, the lawyer will file a new request for the release of Cédric Jubillar.

Refusing to discuss the merits of the case, Samuel Vuelta-Seimon, the public prosecutor of Toulouse, indicated the need to carry out these excavations.

“This is the presumed death of a woman.

We must find the body of Delphine Jubillar to return it to her family, we are working for that above all.

The deployment of means is dictated by this priority, by the resolution of this affair and the manifestation of the truth, and not by the media coverage, ”assured the chief of the prosecution, on the sidelines of a press conference for the return to justice.
